This is Whistler, senior resident of Dry Water Farm, 28 years young, a Danish Warmblood. Whistler is now retired from his job as upper-level dressage schoolmaster to Jane Sheehan of Mansfield, MA, but continues to get her full attention by whatever means possible. The pair showed together through Fourth Level and were still riding partners until this year when some old injuries put Whistler on the sidelines. Jane continues to ride, thanks to the generosity of Davie McNamara, who allows her to ride her pretty Quarter Horse mare Kate, when she is not off judging as a recognized USEF Dressage Judge. Whistler’s days now consist of daily turnout close to his buddies and lots of attention from everyone who passes his stall. As “Mr. Personality”, he has developed quite a fan club. In 1983 Whistler was Five-Year-Old Champion Sporthorse of Denmark.

We still think he is a champion!
